Instant Enroll Upgrades

Typically, we reserve the latter section of our newsletter for updates and upgrades - but with so many great little modifications we are currently implementing, we thought it would be best to dedicate an entire article to feature these exciting changes.

First and foremost, we want to thank our brokers for the invaluable input we receive that continues to advance our technologies and services, enabling IBN - and you - to surpass the competition.

Implemented Changes
- in the employee enrollment process, the user answers various questions asked by the carrier. It is then followed by a separate section to enter specific details regarding these items. There were multiple fields in this particular section that made the initial page seem a bit overwhelming to employees. Depending on the carrier, only the highlighted fields were actually required, but it was decided that improvement was needed in this area. Now, only the fields that pertain to the carrier(s) specific questions will actually be displayed. The result is a much more friendly user experience without any of the unnecessary fields displayed.

Another great modification has been made to the "save/add" buttons in sections such as Dependents, Medications, and Condition Details. From time to time, some users have experienced issues with continuing through certain sections. Most of these problems were due to the user trying to click the "continue" button, rather than the "add dependent" button, for example. Now, these buttons are in a more obvious location and have been re-labeled as "done updating dependents" (or, as it relates to each section), with easier to understand instructions. This seemingly simple change has tremendously improved navigation through these sections.

Last, but not least - we have extended the time-out period of the HIPAA guideline from automatically logging out users within 30 minutes to 60 minutes. Most users are unaware of the time-out rule and we wanted to give employees in particular more time to collect and enter data without being logged out.

Upcoming Changes - we are in the process of adding more fields when importing a census to include martial status, hours worked per week, and full time hire date.

There will also be a handy Enrollment Export tool (not to be confused with the census export link in the employee manager), that will display a data summary for employees and their dependents that can be used for a multitude of purposes.

Cross-Selling Existing Business

There's nothing like a brand new book of business. But within the realm of client care exists additional opportunities to introduce new, helpful products and services to your existing business as well.

The product videos featuring our online modules have become enormously popular and equally as effective in promoting new business. However, the ability to present an entire spread of the videos to existing clients can result in more than a few phone calls leading to the purchase of additional services. Furthermore, the more dependent your clients become on your products and services, the less likely they are to switch brokers.

One of the easiest methods that can help you showcase this "video spread" is by adding a link on your Client Login page. Below are several vehicles IBN currently offers. These can all be customized for your agency, and have all been highly effective:

1. The Expanded Technology Services video - This video can be customized with your agency logo and closes with your own tagline or motto and includes a 3 minute overview of our full HR Resource package. Get yours for free!
