The District provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the purpose of helping employees and their family members who may be feeling the need for some kind of counseling. Confidential services are provided through HorizonCare work-life program.

Highlights of the Employee Assistance Program are: 

• It’s open to employees and any of their dependents

• 24-hour crisis counseling on a daily basis

• Intake appointments are offered within 48 hours

• Up to 3 EAP visits per problem/incident per family member

• Assessment, brief counseling and referral

• Telephone consultations

• All sessions are confidential

Be assured any problems that you or your family members may need help with, whether family or work related, can be discussed with a counselor at HorizonCare work-life program, and will be kept strictly confidential. The district will not receive reports on any employees using their services but will receive periodic utilization reports showing only usage data.

Who is eligible? All licensed employees regardless of FTE as well as their dependents. Dependents do not have to be enrolled in any other coverage to be eligible for EAP counseling services.

Your monthly cost: The District pays the full cost of this coverage for all licensed employees.
